La Pryor ISD names community leader as next superintendent

Dr. Cody Miller has been named as the next superintendent for the La Pryor Independent School District (ISD). Dr. Miller will leave his role as director of adult and community education for Northside ISD.

Dr. Miller brings over 25 years of experience in the education community, including stints as a principal, academic coordinator and director. He is also a graduate of Walden University and the University of Texas at San Antonio.

UTSA appoints veteran administrator to vice president of athletic development

Kurk Pottkotter, a veteran administrator for more than 25 years, has been named the senior associate vice president for athletic development at the University of Texas at San Antonio.

In his new role, Pottkotter will provide strategic leadership and oversight of all fundraising and development in support of Roadrunners Athletics. Pottkotter arrives following nearly 15 years at SMU, where he most recently served as executive deputy athletics director and chief operating officer.

Harris County Public Health selects Barton as next executive director

Leah Barton has been appointed to the Harris County Public Health team as the next executive director. She had previously served as the interim director since August 2024.

Barton will assume the position bringing over 20 years in experience in the energy sector. Under the new role, she will immediate be tasked with addressing proposed budget cuts and leading the public health team.

Marble Falls announces new city manager

Caleb Kraenzel has been promoted to the role of city manager for the city of Marble Falls.

Kraenzel brings over 20 years of municipal service to the city, where he recently served as deputy city manager. During his tenure, Kraenzel managed various initiatives, including infrastructure improvements, strategic planning initiatives and fiscal management activities.

Pearland selects new vice president for economic development corporation

Adrian Perez has been named as the next vice president of attraction and retention for the Pearland Economic Development Corporation in Pearland.

In his new role, Perez will lead initiatives to bring new businesses and jobs to Pearland while supporting the growth of local companies. Perez will also coordinate with businesses and stakeholders on future expansion efforts.
